Slovakian photographer and cinematographer Martin Kollar, born in 1971 during the communist era, will meet us at HdM Gallery.
He will talk about his images which focus on the idea of temporality in a world made of situations revealing the disintegration of permanences, capturing their fall into the provisional.
Martin Kollar has received several grants and awards including 2016 Prix Elysée, his work has been exhibited internationally.
You will be led by a curator through a selection of the world’s leading galleries brought together to celebrate photography, the medium of our time.

Since his first essay La Mort de la Mort in 2011, Dr Laurent Alexandre revealed himself as one of the most visionary analysts of technological revolutions.
He tackles today Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the dizzying changes that it will trigger in our way of life.
What scenarios Humanity will choose? Do we have to accept the transhumanist dizziness which ‘upgrades’ us biologically but keeps us human? Do we have to merge with the AI and become cyborgs, do we have prohibit or limit powerfully AI?

A once-in-a-lifetime event : Last Exit before Brexit, a one man play on Europe, written and performed by Bernard-Henri Lévy, the French activist-philosopher who will be on stage at Cadogan Hall on 4 June 2018.
The B&C Club proposes its members to share an exceptional evening at the theater.
Synopsis: from humanity’s darkest hours at Auschwitz to the siege of Sarajevo and the migrants sinking in the Mediterranean, a French writer, confined in a hotel room, travels back in time. He is searching his memory to compose a speech on the fate of Europe and to praise the UK to remain with us.
Bernard-Henri Lévy will share his passionate views about European common identity and history, its victories and defeats.

A prolific author, Amélie Nothomb, since the publication of her first novel “Hygiène et Assassin” in 1992, at the age of twenty-five, she has published a book a year. His novels are among the best literary sales and have been translated into several languages.
Her novels “Fear and Trembling” won the Grand Prix of the French Academy’s novel in 1999. She also won twice the Jean Giono Jury Prize, the Alain Fournier Prize, the Prix de Flore 2007.
She was born on July 9, 1966 in Belgium, lived in Japan at the age of two, and then lived in China, New York, Bangladesh, Burma, the United Kingdom and Laos.
Today she lives between Brussels and Paris but travels a lot to meet her readers.

For this special evening, the Wallace Collection will be closed and a private home opened for the happy few.
Guests will be welcomed at Hertford House, invited to explore its masterpieces and discover the inspiring legacy of Sir Richard Wallace, the Collection’s founder.
In the spirit of the “salon”, selected objects will be presented before an intimate dinner is served in the luxurious atmosphere of the Great Gallery.
The evening will be curated by Albert Godycki in consultation with Xavier Bray, Wallace Collection director and Leila Packer, curator.

After 10 years in the Prada group, where he held several positions, Serge Carreira is now Chief Operating Officer at Mary Katrantzou, the inspiring high fashion designer.
Serge Carreira has also taught at Science Po for 12 years an introductory course in fashion and luxury.
Through an interactive talk, Serge will share with us his vision and his knowledge of luxury and put his experience and high sensitivity at the heart of the discussion.
He will highlight the main issues that luxury has to face today, from fascination to trivialization, from tradition and savoir-faire to globalization, from rationalization to respect for artistic creation.
