Lucy Choi began her career not by taking the natural and logical step to follow her family shoe heritage, but instead she chose to train as an accountant and work in the City to fully understand the business world. With her uncle, the legendary Jimmy Choo and her sister Sandra Choi, Lucy knew that fashion and footwear were an undeniable part of her destiny, but she was determined to make her own mark and wanted to cut her teeth in the business world first. After gaining over 8 years experience in the City and another 10 years of industry experience whilst working as the Managing Director of French Sole, the luxury ballet flat brand, where Lucy helped to quintuple the company size as well as expand the company internationally.

During the recession in 2012 Lucy took the step to launch her own shoe label, Lucy Choi London. In the same year Lucy became a first time mother, not only to her business, but also to her son, Thomas. Although Lucy admits that managing her business and family involves continual negotiation, she is committed to keeping a work life balance that is so important to her.
