SOPHIE LACOSTE & AURELIE JULIEN IN CONVERSATION

Sophie Lacoste and Aurelie Julien will discuss the impact of art on fashion.

Having been on the Lacoste SA board for 10 years, Sophie Lacoste and her brother Philippe then purchased Fusalp. After graduating from the French National Drama School ERACM, Sophie also performed as an actress and directed her own theatre company for almost 10 years.

In 2006, she created the René Lacoste Foundation, which helps young people find a new path through sport. She is now President of the Porosus Endowment Fund, a family fund dedicated to the emergence of young talents in the artistic and sports fields.

Having started her own company Aurelie Julien Collectible in 2015 to promote design and art for collectors, Aurélie Julien represents the French designer Martin Szekely and a new breed of architects, interior designers and decorators who create their own furniture, and who are writing the pages of future design history: Joseph Dirand, Isabelle Stanislas & Alexis Mabille.
Having collaborated with professionals such as Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Maison Matisse and the artist Sandrine Pagny, Aurélie is an expert in the field, ideally placed to give a personalised guidance to private collectors.
After collecting contemporary art and design for 20 years, she has now broadened her activity to art and design advisory for private collectors.
